What it is for
- Answering calls on your number when your team is busy or closed.
- Taking callers from a queue that has waited too long.
- Passing a caller to your human queue when they need a person.
How it differs from the AI studio
The AI studio at siriustel.com runs its own agents and uses AI credits. The switch AI receptionist runs inside the phone switch and is paid from your phone balance. One call uses one of them, never both.
What you would set up
In the phone console, you would create the agent, its tasks and its knowledge base. Then you would point a number or a queue at it.
Mixing people and AI
A hybrid call centre puts both together. During business hours, calls go to your agents. After hours, or when the wait is too long, the AI answers. When a caller asks for a person, the AI passes the call back to your team.
